With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, there’s no denying of Oluchi Orlandi (nee Onweagba) is an African Fashion Icon. With a career that began with her winning M-Net’s Face of Africa in 1998 at the age of 17, she soon began gracing the covers of top fashion magazines such as Italian Vogue, serving as the face of brands like Victoria’s Secret and Gianfranco Ferre, and being shot by the world’s most renowned photographers, including Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein and Steven Meisel.

Not one to forget her past, in 2007 Oluchi partnered with the Shine Group to launch O Model Africa — a South Africa-based modeling agency dedicated to exposing, developing and delivering select portfolios of African Models to domestic and international clients for catwalk shows.

Today, still true to her passion for discovering raw fashion talent, this New York University BA holder, wife and mother of two is excited to assume the roles of Host and Executive Producer of Africa’s Next Top Model. The African edition of Tyra Banks’ global televised modeling competition franchise is set to debut on November 10, 2013.
